The first information about NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs, expected to be announced at CES 2025, has leaked. These new GPUs, which will be used in both desktop and laptop models, briefly appeared in the listings of famous shopping sites. Important clues have emerged about both the prices and specifications of the new GPUs.
First details of the GeForce RTX 50 series for desktops and laptops leaked
In desktops, the RTX 50 series first appeared with the Acer Predator Orion 7000. This desktop series is available in two models equipped with the new RTX 50 series GPUs: The model with RTX 5080 has a starting price of 3,499 Euros and comes with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF processor, 32 GB DDR5 RAM and 1 TB SSD. The model with RTX 5090 goes up to 5,999 Euros with Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor, 128 GB DDR5 RAM and 2 TB SSD. In addition, the RTX 5080 is expected to be released in mid-January 2025 and the RTX 5090 in early February.
In laptops, the RTX 50 series has appeared in popular laptop series such as ASUS ROG and HP Omen. The ASUS ROG Strix G835 comes with an 18-inch display, Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and RTX 5090 GPU options. It supports a maximum of 64 GB of GDDR5 RAM. ASUS ROG Zephyrus GU605 comes with a 16-inch OLED display, Core Ultra 9 285H processor and RTX 5090 GPU. LPDDR5X RAM options are available.
The HP Omen Max Gaming model will come equipped with a 16-inch display, Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, RTX 5080 GPU and 32 GB DDR5 RAM. The release date of these laptop models is stated as spring 2025.
